社會生物學(xué)出版對昆蟲學(xué)知識有重大貢獻(xiàn)的文章，重點(diǎn)是社會性昆蟲。以前提交給其他期刊的文章不被接受。社會生物學(xué)發(fā)表原創(chuàng)研究論文，并邀請?jiān)u論文章，涉及社會昆蟲和社會前昆蟲(螞蟻、白蟻、蜜蜂和黃蜂)的生物學(xué)、進(jìn)化和系統(tǒng)學(xué)的所有方面。文章可以涵蓋一系列的主題，如生態(tài)學(xué)、動物行為學(xué)、形態(tài)學(xué)、種群遺傳學(xué)、生理學(xué)、毒理學(xué)、生殖學(xué)、社會生物學(xué)、種姓分化以及經(jīng)濟(jì)和害蟲管理。短筆記也會出版，但我們更感興趣的是涉及生物學(xué)、生態(tài)學(xué)、社會性、行為(歡迎任何實(shí)驗(yàn)成分)的手稿，而不是簡單的筆記，例如描述物種發(fā)生的新記錄。凡屬描述性或非描述性及具本地特色的文章，概不接受。

SOCIOBIOLOGY publishes articles that significantly contribute to the knowledge of Entomology, with emphasis on social insects. Articles previously submitted to other journals are not accepted. SOCIOBIOLOGY publishes original research papers and invited review articles on all aspects related to the biology, evolution and systematics of social and pre-social insects (Ants, Termites, Bees and Wasps). Articles may cover a range of subjects such as ecology, ethology, morphology, population genetics, physiology, toxicology, reproduction, sociobiology, caste differentiation as well as economic and pest management.Short notes are published as well, but we are more interested in manuscripts that address biology, ecology, sociality, behavior (any experimental component is welcome) rather than simplistic notes, for instance, description of new records of species occurrence.Articles which are only of descriptive or anedoctal kind and of local interest will not be accepted.
